Airtel takes on Jio with revised Rs 3,999 1Gbps Xstream Fiber plan
Bharti Airtel on Friday revised its Rs 3,999 Airtel Xstream broadband plan, as it seeks to garner a larger broadband subscriber base and contend with its rival Jio’s similarly priced plan.
The revised Airtel Xstream Fiber Rs 3,999 plan now comes with a complimentary 4×4 Wi-Fi router that provides 1 Gbps Wi-Fi coverage across homes and small offices, Airtel said.
“Small Offices will be able to deploy multiple high-speed connections for applications such as stock trading and online collaboration that requires reliable high-speed connectivity with zero downtime,” Airtel said.
Airtel Xstream Fiber’s 1 Gbps broadband plan at Rs 3,999 also offers a complimentary Airtel Xstream Box that gives access to 550 TV channels and OTT content from the Airtel Xstream app library, comprising seven OTT apps and five studios. It offers subscriptions to video streaming apps such as Amazon Prime Video and ZEE5, too.
“Reliable high-speed connectivity is a lifeline in today’s digital-first world and Airtel is proud to be at the forefront of India’s broadband revolution. A key ask from our customers was liberation from the LAN cable to enjoy the 1Gbps experience and we are delighted to make that happen,” said Vir Inder Nath, CEO – Homes, Bharti Airtel.
Jio, on the other hand, offers a Rs 3,999 JioFiber Platinum plan which comes bundled with unlimited data at 1 Gbps of speed FUP, unlimited calling benefits, and access to 15 OTT apps, including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar VIP, among others.
